The English version of the film is now available on DVD and digital download by FUNimation Entertainment. On August 9th, 2014, One Piece Film Z movie was announced with Blu-ray/DVD release in Japan with both English subtitles and dubbed audio with Funimation's licensing of this movie for local release in the United States was announced at San Diego Comic Con 2016. On November 29, 2016, Funimation would announce that their license of the film was over and that it had expired on October 25th. On December 15, 2016, FUNimation announced they would re-license the film with a new English Dub and released on Blu-ray and DVD in North America with a new English dub on July 18, 2017. It was also announced that they would be partnering with Toei for distribution of the film's home release in North America.
